This was the first of six murals completed inside Champaign County juvenile detention center. Follow Your Dreams was inspired by the residents who collaborated with Leslie to design and install a mural in their classroom that inspires them and gives them hope.

In collaborative mural projects like this, Leslie works along side clients to process what images and phrases connect with the focus they wish to convey through their mural. She then takes their collections of images and phrases to the drawing board to create a mural design that reflects their vision.

Once the design is approved, Leslie arrives on site with materials that help the client bring their vision to life. She transfers the image on the wall in a method that allows clients to easily participate in the implimentation of the mural in collaboration with Leslie.
